OUGD603 EXTENDED PRACTICE - BRASIL PUBLICATION - FINAL PUBLICATION & MAP

Final Publication
This is the final bound publication. The colours have came out extremely vibrant throughout, which was down to choosing the photographs selectively based around the research undertaken into The Earth Issue, and how much of an impact vibrant photographs can have. There are also small pockets in the front and back inside covers, where the map can be held for easy transportation. This also keeps the map really safe as well and ensures it doesn’t get damaged.
You can see the binding has worked really effectively in allowing the photographs to be shown at their best, taking on a minimalist appearance.
When choosing the stock for this publication, a mid weight one which would allow the photographs to be shown at their best was chosen. This was to ensure the publication wasn’t too heavy, but was still strong enough not to be too flimsy, and allowed the inks to take really well to the stock to create vibrant photographs. A slightly heavier weighted stock was chosen for the cover to give it added strength, and to contrast against the content stock.

Final Map
This is the final map, showing the front and back. A 120gsm stock was chosen, so as not to be see through to ensure the map was as readable as possible, but to still have some weight to it so it was durable, as the map is intended to be used as much as possible and taken around with you.
