This module has been extremely influential in helping me to start to understand what I enjoy creating, in regards to taking on more of an artworking role, working within a studio or a brand, or designing branding and concepts from scratch. I have had two amazing experiences working within the design industry, although both being very different, and both teaching me really important things about myself personally and as a designer. Through these internships I have learnt that I prefer working to brand guidelines or within a brand itself, as opposed to creating new content, which is something I would never of learnt had I not undertaken these internships. This will considerably impact upon the kind of roles I apply for, and will result in me having a higher chance of getting a job doing something that I really enjoy doing.
This module has also given me the opportunity to discover and connect with creatives which inspire me, such as Studio Arhoj, which has in turn helped me to discover some amazing pieces of design work which have then inspired my own work.
This module has been really enjoyable and has felt so natural this year compared to previous years, as I am getting more used to interacting with the creative community, and I feel this is making a huge impact on the decisions I make in my own work and also in relation to my career ambitions and decisions.
