The typeface for “Grape Snatcher” should be Paris Metro, and the label itself should be produced on tea stained, old fashioned, off white stock, either with an digital effect or the actual stock itself. The cost of production should be no more than £20. Additional text on the label which must be included is “Cookley Vintage, UK” and “Red Wine”. 40 copies of the wine label should be produced.

My understanding of the brief
This brief is asking me to design a wine label in the shape of 9x9cm for red wine which has been home brewed, with it’s distribution being only as gifts to close friends and family and their own consumption.
The wine label should include the Silveira coat of arms, a blackbird with a grape in it’s mouth, and the text “Grape Snatcher”, “Red Wine”, and “Cookley Vintage, UK”. It should also be produced on off-white vintage style stock, and use muted colours. The text “Grape Snatcher” should be in the typeface Paris Metro.
The wine label should be produced as 40 copies, with production costs of no more than £20.
Aims:
- To develop my knowledge of packaging design
- To create a sophisticated design that is very different in style to my normal work
- To experiment with foiling and print finishes
