This was a really valuable experience for me, as I learnt about the vast amount of tech jobs in the creative industries, and the different kinds of employers of these jobs.
I talked to many different companies such as Jet2 Careers, Morrisons, JigTalk, Digital Skills HQ and Branded3. Even though some of them didn't necessarily have any careers that I could go directly into, it was still really interesting talking to these people and hearing their words of encouragement and tips on getting into the industry after I graduate.
It amazed me how friendly everybody I talked to was, and how enthusiastic they were about talking to me and the opportunities they have on offer as well. this has definitely given me a lot of confidence about going to other events and in talking to people and introducing myself. I think my experience of going to Career Track Tuesdays quite often has had an impact on how I approached this event with a clear mindset and not to necessarily find a job but just to engage with people and talk to them, which really gave me a lot of confidence for finding a job once I graduate.
As a result of going to this jobs fair I have one job I am considering applying to which I wouldn't of realised existed if I hadn't of gone to this event.
The branding and way finding for this event really impressed me as well, as it was really clean and contemporary, yet still used a rainbow of different colours and was really clear and interactive on where to go.
