These are the final two poster designs for Amelia’s Student President Campaign. She opted to go for a white and blue background design, so as not too appear too girly, but also so that one design may stand out more on a certain background, as evidenced in the above photographs.
The Amelia only illustration has been included in the poster design as well, acting as a full stop to the design, making this the last thing your eyes see when you read it, creating a intriguing lasting memory of something a little different.
Campaign Posters around LCA
The posters were printed out in a set amount and put up around Leeds College of Art for one week during Campaigns week, in the run up towards the elections. These photographs show how the white and blue background posters work effectively on different coloured backgrounds. The darker orange background allows the white background poster to stand out effectively as a strong contrast is created. If the blue poster had been put up in it’s place then it may not of had the same impact, being too similar in tone.
