Universal Favourite design studio teamed up with their local patisserie Bakedown Cakery to produce Complements, 3D printed chocolates which are interchangeable and stackable. The idea is that they are meant to be paired and shared, and were created to give as gifts to clients of the design studio. They come in loads of different flavours such as fairy floss, cookies and cream, and lemon, and are inspired by architecture.
What I found immediately captivating about these chocolates was the different colour combinations and the strong shapes. And then I learnt you could change them around which makes them even more exciting. As a gift to give to clients of the agency, this is a wonderfully simple idea which most people will love, and people find it hard to turn away chocolate too. This has given me really great ideas about how to get creative agencies to notice me, and that the idea doesn't have to be really complicated to be effective, which is another thing I learnt from Jenny Van Sommers Jelly Roles video too. The different colours are also shown in a GIF (below) which is a really effective way of quickly showing the different options, giving almost a snapshot in what's available, teasing viewers. This is a format I don't automatically turn to showcase my work in, however could be really effective for specific projects, so perhaps this is something I should get more accustomed to using.
