During my internship at Empire magazine, I had just handed in COP a few days before I started, so hadn't gotten anything planned for me to do whilst I was in London. This allowed me to fully immerse myself in the internship experience.
However, during my 3 week internship at Venn Creative over Easter, I had to plan my time carefully in order to not fall behind for when I started back after Easter. To manage my time I produced a lot of short term to do lists, setting myself achievable goals in order to stay motivated, but being realistic about what work I can get done, and also allowing myself the chance to explore the local areas as well, in order to get the most out of this internship as possible.
Although planning my time was very achievable during this internship, I struggled to stay motivated to work during the evenings, as being out of the house from 8am-6pm was a long day, working constantly from 9-5, to then come home and continue working on university work whilst I was in an exciting new location, with beautiful weather, I definitely struggled to make the most efficient use of my time during the evenings. However, I did have an extremely enjoyable internship experience, which has in turn impacted upon my career decisions, so in a way this was a great learning curve.
