OUGD603 EXTENDED PRACTICE - LAUREN BRANDING - THE BRIEF

Studio Brief
Produce personal branding in the form of a logo and business cards for Leeds College of Art fashion student Lauren Simpson. Also create branding work in the form of swing tags and inner labels for her graduate fashion collection.

Background/Considerations
The personal branding should be feminine, simple and smart, but should still reflect her as a fashion designer. The graduate collection branding should feature under the name of LORE, and represent femininity, fairytales and folklore, and also the colours and patterns within the collection itself.
The colour palette for the personal branding should be shades of greys, blues and pinks. The colour palette for the collection branding should be greys, blues, pinks, purples, and silver. Both sets of branding should include black text throughout.

Collection inner clothes labels

My understanding of the brief
For this brief I understand I have to produce both the personal branding and graduate collection branding for Leeds College of Art fashion student Lauren Simpson. They should both be different, however should be able to work individually and together.
For the personal branding I have to produce a logo and business cards, using the colour palette grey, pink and blue, and applying a feminine, smart design.
For the graduate collection branding I have to produce designs for swing tags and inner labels for her clothes. These should feature under the brand name LORE, and have the colour palette of grey, pink, purple and blue, and have a feminine, fairytale, delicate appearance.

Aims for the brief
- Develop my knowledge of logos and branding
- Use pastel colours and a sophisticated design that I don’t usually use in my own work
