OUGD601 COP: LYGIA CLARK RESEARCH

Lygia Clark was a Brazilian artist, specialising in sculpture and performance.

This is a piece made by her which is quite unusual, featuring a large sheet with lots of holes for people's heads to stick through. his could be interpreted for children's play in that a child's blanket could have several head sized holes in it for the child to stick their head through and wear or play dress up in. The blanket could also be covered in different elements, such as shapes, detachable parts, pockets etc, to create an interactive and learning experience for the child.
